Free trip planner · printed pocket zine

Plan the trip together. Carry it in your pocket.

Wayzine is a free planner for trips with friends. When the plan is ready, we print it as a zine booklet and mail you a copy for everyone going.

No app to install · Works on your phone
Two pages of the sample booklet in the Field notebook style: the cover of “Kansai in November”, and day 3 in Kyoto, with its stops from Kiyomizu-dera to dinner in Pontochō and their times, addresses and costs.
How it works

Three stops from idea to the bag.

  1. 1

    Plan together

Lay out days, places, trains and reservations. Everyone in your group sees changes as they happen.

  2. 2

    Proof your booklet

Your plan turns into zine pages as you go. Before you order, you look through a proof of every page and approve it.

  3. 3

    We print and ship

Order up to 10 copies, one for each traveller. They arrive 11 to 14 days after you pay, ready for a bag or a back pocket. No signal needed.

The booklet

Everything you need when your phone is dead.

A 5.5 × 8.5 in zine in full colour with a matte cover, dense with the details you’d otherwise be hunting for on a cracked screen. It has as many pages as your trip needs, up to 48.

  • A spread for each day: the stops in order, with times, addresses and phone numbers
  • A printed map of each day’s route, and a map of the whole trip across the middle pages
  • Sunrise and sunset on every day, and how you get from one stop to the next
  • A page for the group, and a last page with who to call and where you’re sleeping
  • Room on every day for what you spent, and pages to write in wherever the trip leaves some spare: notes, sketches, a money log
$20a copy · $6 shipping an order · 11 to 14 days to your door
